It all started a few month ago when i realized i had to get started with Git for good. I already had used it but never much and the infos/tips i got were kind of blurry although accurate. So i started to dig into the free Pro Git ebook available online but never managed to really go somewhere. Lack of motivation. At the same time i heard about codeschool.com, an online platform to learn web technologies with videos, coding challenges and screencasts. I had done some free stuff available but never got involved.
Last week, after doing the free Git course, i decided to signup for good and do the entire Git Real course. And i have to say that it’s been a great experience. First, the course is pretty well done, clear videos, nice challenges directly into the browser… But what did work well in my opinion is the fact that i paid for a course. This motivated me to really “attend”, pay attention and work on it. A really good motivation in my opinion and something i’ll recommend for those who have troubles getting motivated. Plus i got plenty of other courses available now!
