I just started to play around with Sass and i’m using the command-line option to control it. After a few tests i got the watch mode ready, pretty easy, then managed to change the output render with style and finally installed the FireSass extension for Firefox.

This extension allows the user to spot the line number where a css property stands within the .scss file and not the generated .css file. Which is kind of very helpful. I’ve been using Chrome’s inspector for a while and have to admit that i’m using this feature a lot.  Not having an extension for chrome yet, i went for the Firefox option. After installing the extension, you actually have to sort of tell Sass to use the debug-info mode so that it can appear in firebug. In my case i wanted to:

  1. watch the .scss file for changes
  2. set the style output to compact
  3. set the debug-info to true

Which goes like this after a few attemps and much reading/searching:

About

So, i'm a developer from France currently living in Rio de Janeiro. I do code for the front-end side of the web with things like javascript, html, css, preprocessors, tasks runners, version control, frameworks, tdd, CI, Wordpress and others.

I do speak english, portuguese and french, read tons of books, love to play on a wake, bmx and snowboard and would like to travel to the Karakoram range, Tierra del Fuego and Mongolia.

I do appreciate you stopping by and admit i did abuse of the auxiliary verb do in this about.
